What is Myofascial Cupping?

Myofascial dry cupping is a specialised soft tissue therapy provided by our sports therapists. Using medical-grade silicone or plastic cups, gentle suction is applied to the skin to lift and decompress the underlying muscles and fascia. Unlike traditional massage, which applies pressure into the tissues, cupping creates negative pressure to help improve tissue mobility, encourage local circulation, and reduce muscular tension.

Dry cupping can be beneficial for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including muscle tightness, sports-related injuries, stiffness, and post-exercise recovery. It is often used alongside sports massage, rehabilitation, and other hands-on therapies as part of a personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Every treatment begins with a thorough assessment to ensure cupping is appropriate for you and is adapted to your symptoms, activity level, and stage of recovery.
